WELCOME TO THE TAISO GYMNASTICS TRAINING CENTRE We
at TAISO are proud of our commitment to bring you the best gymnastics program
in Communication
is important and we encourage you to discuss the progress and goals of your
young gymnast with our staff at any time. The
following outline is intended to provide you with a better understanding of
TAISO. If you have any questions,
please do not hesitate to call or email the gym at 865-8798 or taisogymnastics@ns.aliantzinc.ca
Parent Viewing – TAISO’s Mezzanine viewing area offers a
comfortable space for adults and siblings.
PLEASE RESPECT THE “QUIET Communication
is important to us, however most of TAISO’s staff continue immediately with
another class. If an instructor’s time
is limited, please arrange a time to meet or have the instructor call you.
Behavior – TAISO
strives to provide a fun learning environment. In order to fulfill this commitment, we ask
that all children abide by basic behavioral guidelines. Our instructors are trained to direct the
energy and excitement that the program generates. We set clear boundaries and expectations as
to appropriate conduct. If an
instructor feels action needs to be taken due to a child’s continuous
interruptions of the positive atmosphere or ongoing disregard for the rules,
parents will be notified. Once a
child has entered the gym area, it is necessary that they remain with the
class and limit trips to the mezzanine; frequent trips will result in the
child not being permitted to return to the class in progress. We ask for your cooperation in reaching a
positive outcome for all involved.
Cancellation Policy – In the event of extreme snow fall or
other adverse weather conditions, TAISO will announce cancellations on local
radio stations and if necessary, persons will be notified by phone of class
cancellation. If school or buses are
cancelled, weekly
Rescheduled Classes – Classes missed due to scheduled holidays
or competitions will be held during TAISO’s Administration Break. Please refer to TAISO’s Calendar of
Events. Reminder emails of upcoming
holidays and rescheduled classes will be sent closer to the date. Notices are posted in the foyer &
mezzanine.
Registration Policy – Within each gymnastics year (September to
June) current members will have a 1 week pre-registration period prior to Open
Registration for new members. A
member’s place in their current class is guaranteed (for 2nd and 3rd
Term), only until the final day of each term.
Fall registration is on a first come, first serve basis for
Classes commence and end promptly at the scheduled
times. No entry to class permitted, if later than 10 minutes to the
commencement of class (too disruptive).Parents must wait in the
foyer/kitchen with child, until greeting from instructor and meet child in
foyer at the end of class. Please DO
NOT drop your child off early without supervision and be on time to pick-up
your child. If delayed, call the
gym. Our staff continually reinforce
the “wait in foyer” rule, but as most instructors continue with another
class, it is difficult to ensure that your child stays inside the
facility. We thank you for your
cooperation. Please observe TAISO’s
Parking Policy and do not block entrances and exits.
TAISO Sessions – are 12 weeks in length with the next term
starting one week after the conclusion of the previous term (see Calendar of

Sunday.
Special Events – Newsnotes and special event notices will
be given out periodically. Please
